Gardenrose B&B Locality

 Culzean Castle  - Culzean is one of Scotland's best loved Castles, offering something for everyone to enjoy. Situated on the South Ayrshire coast, just off the A719, Culzean Castle is located 4 miles west of Gardenrose B&B, Maybole. What you see at Culzean Castle today is a result of many years of careful restoration by the National Trust for Scotland, that has united the different stages of Culzean's aesthetic history. It reflects the different stages of Culzean's past, from Robert Adam's additions to the medieval tower house, to its heyday as one of the grandest houses in Scotland. ​Culzean has many options to cater for long, or short walks around its grounds.
Rober Burns Birthplace Museum - The museum comprises the famous Burns Cottage where the poet was born, the historic landmarks where he set his greatest work, the elegant monument and gardens created in his honour and a mosern museum housing the world's most important collection of his life and works. Even the most knowledgeable of Burns experts can find something to learn in the Robert Burns Birthplace Museum. Only 7 miles from Gardenrose B&B, Maybole. The museum is within walking distance of Burns Cottage, the Auld Kirk and the Auld Brig of Alloway.
National Cycle Route 7 - Passes right in front of Gardenrose B&B, Maybole. Part of the National Cycle Network and is a long distance cycle route between Sunderland and Inverness via Penrith, Carlisle, Dumfries, Maybole, Ayr, Glasgow, Pitlochry and Aviemore. The route is fully open and signed. Carlisle to Glasgow via the Ayrshire coast is known as the Lochs & Glens (South) cycle route. The route passes through Gretna, Dumfries, Castle Douglas and Newton Stewart before crossing Glen Trool Forest. On reaching Ayr, National Route 7 loosely follows the coast through Troon and Irvine and then heads inland to Glasgow on disused railway paths. Newton Stewart via Glasgow to Inverness also forms part of EuroVelo 1. 
 
The Galloway Forest Park
Situated in the heart of Galloway, southern Scotland, the Galloway Forest Park managed by Forestry Commission Scotland offers spectacular views and a diversity of dramatic scenery. Three hundred square miles of wild beauty are waiting to be explored, here, in Britain's largest forest park. Stretching from seashore to mountaintops, The Galloway Forest Park has an outstanding variety of wildlife. Red and Roe Deer thrive in this woodland park while mighty birds of prey patrol the skies. Known affectionately as the "highlands of the lowlands", the Galloway Forest Park offers an endless assortment of things to see and do, to suit everyone, in some of the most breathtaking scenery Scotland has to offer. 
Dumfries House

 Dumfries House is one of Britain's most beautiful stately homes. Set in 2,000 acres of land, this stunning estate and 18th-Century house with its unrivalled collection of original furniture has something for everyone.
 
Saved by the intervention of His Royal Highness, The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay in 2007, Dumfries House combines the neoclassical architecture of Robert Adam with the furniture of Thomas Chippendale and leading 18th-Century Scottish cabinet makers. Visitors can explore this stunning 2,000 acre estate 365 days a year, with free entry and parking.
Dumfries House is a short drive from Gardenrose B&B, Maybole.
