Gardenrose Bed and Breakfast

A very warm welcome awaits you at Gardenrose B&B, Maybole, Scotland. Gardenrose B&B is a luxury Arts & Crafts house in Ayrshire. We are in the heart of South Ayrshire, near to Culzean Castle, Turnberry Golf Course and Dalduff Barn. If you are looking for accommodation for your visit to Culzean Castle then a stay at Gardenrose B&B is the perfect place. You are assured of a friendly and luxurious stay with us at Gardenrose B&B.

We have 2 luxury, en-suite rooms - the Glasgow Room and the Oriental Room - plus a large guest lounge and a separate breakfast room. The Glasgow Room, the lounge and the breakfast room have many original features of the Glasgow Style and Charles Rennie Mackintosh style. We have added many features to maintain the theme of Charles Rennie Mackintosh,The Glasgow School and the Arts&Crafts period.

The house was built in 1911 for one of the sons of the owner of a local shoe factory. The architect of the house was Thomas A. Jack, who was a local man.  The many original features include things such as the staircase with inlaid tiles, Mackintosh style doors and an Arts&Crafts frieze in our Glasgow Room.

Our reviews;

My wife and I wished very much we had planned longer than an overnight stay

Morvern and John's house is spacious and brimming with arts and crafts period detail and they are very warm and thoughtful hosts. We stayed in the Glasgow Room, which is large and light and very comfortable and has facilities for making a proper pot of coffee or tea, which we thought was a very nice touch, as well luxury extras like bathrobes and slippers. Morvern and John even left us cake and homemade biscuits.

The breakfast options are wide and generous and our breakfast was superb.

We'll stay much longer next time.

We stayed only one night in this lovely B&B, wish we could have stayed longer. John and Morvern were wonderful hosts - very helpful with a dinner recommendation and very friendly/interested in our well-being. Although the B&B itself isn't really within walking distance of many restaurants, the quality of the hosts, the B&B, the room and breakfast more than make up for that. We stayed in the Oriental room and it was amazing - beautifully decorated, with a large, very well appointed bathroom. The entire home was beautifully done and taken care of - definitely pride of ownership. Breakfast was in a lovely room and was delicious - again, the décor, china, etc. were very special. We would definitely recommend a stay here!
